SEEMA - FOUNDER AND CHAIR
Seema R. Hingorani is currently the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of SevenStep Capital, an opportunistic alternatives seeding platform that has a focus on investing in women and minority portfolio managers. Ms. Hingorani is also a Senior Advisor to Crestview Partners. Ms. Hingorani served until June 30, 2014 as Chief Investment Officer for the New York City Retirement Systems which had assets of $160 billion. Previous to this appointment, Ms. Hingorani was Interim Chief Investment Officer and before that Head of Public Equities & Hedge Funds for the pension funds. Under Ms. Hingorani's leadership, the pension fund was named Hedge Fund Manager of the Year - Large Public Pension Plans by Institutional Investor. Prior to Ms. Hingorani's four years of public sector experience, she served as Global Director of Fundamental Research at Pyramis Global Advisors; a General Partner, Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst with hedge fund Andor Capital Management; a General Partner and Senior Equity Analyst at hedge fund Pequot Capital Management; Co-founder of hedge fund Mirador Capital Management; and an Equity Analyst with T. Rowe Price.
Ms. Hingorani has worked with several organizations focused on issues concerning women and girls and is a prolific speaker on the topic of a more robust inclusion of women in the corporate sector. She was honored as the 2016 Woman with Impact by the Connecticut Women's Business Development Council, Wall Street Women Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 by Traders magazine and received the 2015 Women in Finance Achievement award from MarketsMedia for her work with Girls Who Invest. Ms. Hingorani served as a member of the National Finance Committee of Secretary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential Campaign. Ms. Hingorani is an active member of The Economic Club of New York and 100 Women in Finance and also served for eight years as a member of the Board of Directors of Project Enterprise, a nonprofit microfinance organization dedicated to supporting and to developing entrepreneurs and small businesses (most of which were women and women-owned) in under-resourced communities in New York City.
Ms. Hingorani earned her BA in Psychology/Philosophy from Yale College and her MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kathleen - CEO
Kathleen Powers Dunlap is an investment management industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. Most recently, Ms. Dunlap served as Chief Business Strategy Officer for Fiduciary Research and Consulting in San Francisco where she was responsible for executing FRC’s strategic business plan and was a member of FRC’s investment committee. Beginning in 1989, Ms. Dunlap spent more than a decade as a Managing Director with Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco, where she held leadership positions in sales, consultant relations and marketing. Early in her career, she held positions with Merrill Lynch and Kidder Peabody. Ms. Dunlap received a BS in Economics from the University of San Francisco.

DEBRA - HEAD OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Debra Somers has held various roles in finance and recruiting for the last 13 years. Debra most recently was the Program Director of Portfolio Recruiting at Vista Equity Partners where she implemented recruiting-related best practices at the private equity firm's 25+ portfolio companies globally. She also managed a team that recruited for key roles at those portfolio companies as well as Vista Equity Partners and Vista Consulting Group. Prior to Vista, Debra managed the Campus Recruiting efforts for the Investment Banking Department at Credit Suisse.
Debra started her career in finance as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank followed by five years at Credit Suisse where she was a Vice President in Equity Capital Markets Origination focused on technology companies. Debra graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Finance. She enjoys traveling, running, wine and is passionate about empowering women in the financial sector.
Lara - head of programs
Lara Azzam has worked in the telecommunications sector in sales and marketing since 1991. Early in Lara’s career, she gained extensive marketing experience including customer communications, direct acquisition and retention marketing, marketing strategy and marketing campaign performance analysis. Following those years, she moved into sales and sales operations. She was responsible for business process redesign and the development of a web based work-flow management application for a high technology sales organization. Most recently, she has provided B2B business development for clients.
Lara founded the US operation for Team Business and is responsible for launching the Team Business product portfolio in the US marketplace. Lara holds an MBA from Wharton Business School and a Masters in International Studies from Lauder Institute.
SARAH - PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Sarah Carter has 7 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. Most recently, she was a Program Assistant at PATH, a global health organization based in DC, where she built online tools for maternal and child health professionals in the developing world. Before that, Sarah was the Program Assistant and Leader of the Good Neighbor Committee at Unbound Philanthropy, where she worked with a team to allocate funds in excess of $4 million dollars to organizations fighting for immigration reform. Sarah has also worked on projects to stop human trafficking, increase resources for recently arrived Vietnamese youth in Seattle, and raise funds for Rwandan students to attend university.
Sarah began her career at the Roosevelt Institute, a think tank focused on progressive economic reform, where she assisted the development team in grant-writing. Sarah earned a BA in Anthropology and International Studies from Kenyon College, and an MSW from the University of Washington in Seattle. She volunteers her time with Tostan, a Senegalese NGO that empowers women through education. Sarah is committed to helping young women in the United States and around the world achieve their goals.
