Girls Who Invest

Transforming the Investment Management Industry

Girls Who Invest (GWI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the investment management industry by attracting and advancing women investors, change-makers, and leaders.

Each year, we serve over 500 program graduates and place over 200 scholars in front-line investing internships. To date, over 70% of the scholars placed in internships remain in finance.

In our first eight years GWI has reached nearly 2,000 diverse Gen-Z alum from over 180 different colleges and universities with over 70 distinct majors.

Why We Need Girls Who Invest

The investment management industry has been challenged by a lack of diversity on investment teams. And that’s not good for anyone: firms, women, or investors.

There is expected to be 145 trillion assets under management by 2025. 1% of US financial assets are managed by women or individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Diverse Teams Have Measurable Impact

Research proves over and over again that differences in perspective, experience, and investment approach can enhance long-term investing success.

Girls Who Invest is committed to bringing more voices to the table to achieve this success.
