In our first seven years, GWI has reached nearly 2,000 diverse college and university women and gender nonbinary individuals.
We are deeply committed to removing systemic barriers to entry into finance. Our Alumni Career Institute provides professional development and support as our GWI alumni navigate their careers.
Transforming the Industry
To date, 70% of our Summer Intensive Program alumni have remained in the finance industry.
Of our alumni, 69% are people of color and come from more than 180 different colleges and universities and and have studied or are studying in more than 70 distinct majors.
Alumni Council
Our Alumni Council consists of incredible alumni of our GWI Online Intensive and Summer Intensive programs. The Alumni Council advises GWI staff on a variety of topics, including upcoming events, recruiting, and regional and alumni-wide community building.
They span different cohorts and universities and have interned/worked for various investment management firms.
Alumni Career Institute
Career development for our community of alumni is an integral part of GWI’s mission. We provide ongoing GWI alumni support through our exclusive career portal, which formalizes a career development framework to support alumni beyond their participation in GWI summer programs.
The Alumni Career Institute will provide ongoing professional development for scholars and alumni by focusing on career placement and advising, preparation, community building, and connections.
