Program Structure

After a unified curriculum for all, Scholars will continue their education in either the Summer Intensive Program (SIP) or in the Online Intensive Program (OIP) - dependent on factors including but not limited to availability of internships at our Partner firms, Scholar internship preferences, and in-program performance. Note that Scholars cannot apply directly to SIP or OIP, and enrollment in these paths is determined in the spring.

At the time of application, sophomore applicants can opt into consideration for GWI’s Internship Track, which features enhanced professional development programming, such as interview preparation and resume refinement, and comprises the pool of candidates considered for GWI-facilitated summer internships at GWI Partner firms. Please note that being admitted to the Internship Track does not guarantee an internship.

Online Intensive Program (OIP)

Our self-directed, asynchronous educational program, which allows independent learners to develop fundamental skills in finance and investing. OIP Scholars learn from our leading educational partners, which have historically included CFA Institute, Wall Street Prep, and Wharton Online. Internship opportunities may be available for a small number of OIP Scholars.

Summer Intensive Program (SIP)

Our four-week academic training at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, led by top university professors and followed by a seven-week paid, frontline investing internship at a leading investment management firm.
