Program and Marketing Assistant

Position:

Girls Who Invest has been evolving quickly and is focused on expansion. We are looking for a detail oriented, bright, creative, forward-thinking, social media and tech-savvy individual with experience in executive assistance. You will play an active role in coordinating all GWI programs. You will work closely with and provide administrative support to the CEO, the Head of Programs, the Head of Career Development, and the Director of Operations. You must be a self-starter and thrive on working with little or no supervision or guidance. The successful Program Administrator will have the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence to communicate effectively and efficiently with all GWI stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

Program Administrative:

  • Assist Founder and CEO with scheduling and travel arrangements
  • Assist with planning and implement board and advisory board meetings
  • Coordinate logistics with partner firms around video shoots and media – assist CEO with logistics around media and public relations
  • Create and send emails for Founder and CEO as needed
  • Assist with managing the contact database (CRM) for the organization
  • Data entry as needed
  • Expense Management
  • Load contacts into CRM for the organization
  • Support routine HR & Payroll functions
  • Help with physical office management, program management, event management and logistics, fundraising and career development

Social Media and Marketing:

  • Maintain website including monitoring all incoming inquiries
  • Assists in the creation of promotional materials
  • Coordinate with CEO and PR Agency on social media posts; Instagram, video, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Help manage visual content: Video, photography, student testimony, inspirational quotes
  • Research and content management

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize work tasks
  • Experience with social media and marketing preferred
  • Knowledge of the financial industry a plus but not required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills
  • Residence in New York City and environs preferred due to office location in Midtown
