Girls Who Invest (“GWI”) is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 dedicated to increasing the number of women in asset management. Position Description:

The Admissions Reader will work as part of a remote team that evaluates potential candidates for the Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program and Online Intensive Program. The reader will access and evaluate applications via Slate, an online admissions platform. The Girls Who Invest application includes transcripts, test scores, essays, and a video submission. Based on a GWI evaluation form in Slate, readers will then submit their recommendations to the admissions committee. The application review timeline will range from early October-December. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of late adolescent development, early professional career discovery, and an appreciation for identifying grit and drive within the applicant pool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate program applications in consultation with the reader team (video-conferencing)

  • Develop a basic understanding of the Girls Who Invest programs and student profile

  • Communicate with Academic Outreach and Programs Manager, Program and Marketing Assistant, and other relevant GWI staff to make recommendations

  • Assist with processing applications as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Passion for the mission of the organization

  • Some experience in higher education, counseling, admissions or investing

  • Self-starter with strong time management skills

  • Strong reading/writing skills

  • Access to personal computer, internet and phone

  • Experience with Slate a plus but not required

  • Must be available from Early October through Mid-December
